George III Inlaid Mahogany Tall Case Clock, North Graves Hull

Circa 1800, mahogany veneers, pine secondary, the hood with broken arched pediment, fully turned support columns, scalloped rear stiles, painted metal face marked "Sic Est Vita Hominis / North Graves Hull" together with second hand, date hand and moon dial, the case with hinged waist door, light and dark wood inlays throughout, flush plinth base, with pendulum, two weights, case key and winding key.

95.5 x 22 x 10.5 in.

Shrinkage cracks to upper pediment; later brass finial; both arched terminus have been repaired; case with veneer chips and shrinkage separation especially at base; waist door is locked and missing key.
