Lot Details & Additional Photographs
Early 18th century, globular form with a wide, grooved, strap handle and cuffed angled spout, the cartouche is surmounted by peacocks flanking a fruit basket, and is supported, unusually, by a satyr head rather than the typical angel or mask. Also of note are the four pendant tassels, two of which are topped with a cockade.
