One vase bears the under-glaze blue mark of Hugo Brouwer, circa 1764, while the matching vase bears the mark of Rochus Hoppelstein, both vases of baluster form with a wide mouth, painted in five colors featuring large reserves of parrots alternating with reserves of a flowering vine.
9 1/2 x 7 1/2 in.
The Caroline Faison Antiques Collection, Greensboro, North Carolina Possibly Hoppelstein left "The Old Moor's Head" and later worked for Brouwer.
Very good condition with minor rim flakes.
