Early 20th century, each a Buddhist ornament that would be hung from the rafters of temple halls, comprised of gilded copper in a reticulated foliate design with engraved details featuring lotus blossom motifs and ribbon ties, the center each inscribed with Japanese characters.


Each 11 1/2 x 13 in.

From a Private Collection, Washington, D.C.

Rubbing to gilt decoration, would have originally had bells and additional ornaments affixed to the small rings at the upper edge, otherwise good estate condition.
