Peter Freudenthal is a Swedish artist known for his geometric abstraction and constructivist style of painting. He studied at Stockholm University and worked as an archaeologist in northern Sudan in 1962. In the 1960s, he met Olle Baertling, whose mentorship inspired him to create a whole new kind of geometric paintings with squares and rectangles with three-dimensional perspectives. Freudenthal prefers to call his art style geometric abstraction. He made his debut in Stockholm in 1966 and has exhibited in the United States and in several countries in Europe. In 2012, he received the Östgöta Art Association's scholarship. He is represented at several museums around the world, including the Museum of Modem Art in New York and the Israel Museum in Jerusalem.
