Quarter bound calf over marbled paper boards, gilt and stamped spine, all edges marbled. 8vo; viii, 184pp. With (10) engraved plates by Chedel and additional engraved illustrations. (Boards with mild areas of discoloration to leather; fresh endpapers; pages lightly toned with occasional grime and small ink marks, frequent damp staining and soiling; lacking portrait frontispiece.)

LE LIVRE MIGNARD, OU LA FLEUR DES FABLIAUX. Paris: A La Librairie Universelle, [1830?]. Quarter bound calf over marbled paper boards, black label with gilt and raised bands on spine, marbled endpapers. 12mo; [10], 192pp. With glossary. (Boards scuffed, slight discoloration to leather, corners rubbed with one bent, joints and head and tail rubbed with chipping at tail; small sticker at paste-down, cracking starting at front hinge; leaves with light to moderate toning, foxing; half title and title extended, some pages frayed; significant inconsistency in leaf size throughout.)

Three-quarter bound over marbled paper boards, with raised bands and gilt on spine, gilt top edge, marbled endpapers. 8vo; 360; 400pp. With numerous fold-out facsimile letters. (Boards lightly scuffed with edgewear, corners, joints, and spines rubbed; both with bookplates; endpapers with small corner stamp, partially detached in vol. II and fully detached but present in vol. I; interiors lightly toned with minimal foxing, occasional small stain, minor chip or margin loss, or a tear not impacting text, overall clean and unmarked and several leaves still uncut.)

Honoré de Balzac. LE MÉDECIN DE CAMPAGNE. Paris: Calmann-Levy, [1892?]. Quarter bound over marbled paper boards, gilt and raised bands on spine, with speckled edges and marbled endpapers. 12mo; 312, [1 table]pp. (Boards with small area of edgewear, leather scuffed, spine with discoloration and light wear at head; occasional closed tear, toning throughout with occasional light damp staining at margins.)

Three-quarter bound red leather over marbled paper boards, gilt and raised bands on spine, top edge gilt, with marbled endpapers. 16mo; 223; 282pp. First volume with portrait frontispiece and tissue guard. (Boards lightly scuffed, leather darkening at edges, edgewear with corners of second volume heavily rubbed, lightly rubbed at spine and joints; pages lightly toned (slightly heavier at edges), very crisp.)

(Boards with edgewear, corners rubbed, edges browned, spines lightly sunned, (2) vols. with cracking starting at joints, one with closed tears at head of spine, one with scuffing to boards and cracking at joints; pages toned with foxing concentrated on endpapers and edges, one volume with corner loss to one leaf not impacting text, one volume with leaf with small corner chip.)
